Zion
National Park's 100th Anniversary Celebration Begins!
In
2009, Zion National Park celebrates a "Century Of Sanctuary".
Zion National Park was established as Mukuntuweap National Monument by
President William Taft on July 31, 1909. Zion Park plans to have a series
of celebrations and events to commemorate this
historic milestone. Plan to be a part of it by ordering one of our new

Park Centennial Event-Tunnel Walk
To celebrate the Zion Park Centennial, a walk has been planned through
the Zion - Mt. Carmel Tunnel on August 26th. This once in a lifetime event
will be open to a limited number of advanced registered visitors. Registration
will begin on June 26, 2009. Register online or call Karen Mayne at 435-772-0210.

New Postage Stamp Features Zion
The U. S. Postal Service has announced a new stamp in honor of Zion National Park. The first day of sale is June 28th, 2009. For advance purchase of blank cachet envelopes used for first day of issue cancellations click here. First day of sale cachets to be mailed after June 28th may be purchased in advance here.
Park Centennial Employee Reunion
As part of the Centennial celebration, present and former employees of Zion National Park, ZNHA, PTI and Concessionaires are invited to attend a reunion to be held October 16-18, 2009. Register for the event on line here.
